Google Gives Advertisers the Power of Remarketing
Written by: Beau Blackwell, Community Manager
Successful marketers have known for a long time that the more often you can get your product in front of potential customers, the more likely they are to buy. For traditional marketers, this has usually been accomplished by methods such as print, radio, or TV advertising.
In a move that should benefit affiliate marketers and vendors, Google announced yesterday that they’ve brought this same ability to remarket to customers to PPC advertising.
Basically, in your Google AdWords account, you can specify that you want to display ads for your products or site to people who have already visited your site from a paid click. Your subsequent ads will be shown to them in the Google Content Network, when they’re browsing other sites related to your product. This gives you a great opportunity to remind people of the benefits of your product, or offer them a reason to come back and check out your site again. It’s possible that the first time they visited your site, they just weren’t ready to buy, but after browsing around online, a well-written ad could be just what it takes to get them to come back and buy this time.

That is a great move from Google . Re-marketing is a seems to be the next big idea for great sales
Good concept.
I did not know this was not already being done!
One question though.
How can this be mesaured? Does Google have a report showing that a customer was a 2nd clicker?
Anyone tried it yet?
Well, even I have the same doubt what FPP has? How can you quantify it? Would be interesting to understand it. Has google developed any tool or method to track the visitor who has already seen the adv?
Remarketing definitely has the potential to become a popular way to advertise online. It’s actually been going on for years, but with Google’s recent announcement it just validates that it actually works. Here’s an interesting article on the subject. http://blog.adroll.com/2010/01/adroll-finds-increased-roi-with-cross-platform-retargeting/
Thanks for sharing that. I usually focus on generating organic traffic, but Adwords can be an excellent tool when used correctly. I’ll check that out.
I came here to look for helpful tips to use with my Clickbank product review site.Only been doing this a short time and now getting 100 site visits a day.I realise that this traffic will have to be ramped up and, am doing all I can——–even article marketing!
Thanks
Eric.
Awesome news that small change which is actually a big change will increase a lot of advertisers revenue. Great move on Google part because they realize that an average customer has to see an ad about 4 times before they decide to part with there hard earned money.
This will drive even more traffic to the adwords network from Internet marketers. If your a new advertiser take advantage of the $100 in free advertising you cannot lose.
Thanks for the great news, Clickbank.
This is really going to be work!
