I would say that it is unfair to the vendor for an affiliate to buy from their own link. I don’t think it is all about sales, but about ethics.
If you want to buy from the vendor you should send them a message and ask or call them on the phone. Then both would have an agreement regarding both service and sales.

What’s the problem with an affiliate buying from a vendor using thier own clickbank affiliate link. That’s what this is all about. As a vendor you shouldn’t have a problem with that, because it gives the affiliate the chance to test out your product and get paid doing it. If the affiliate were to refer someone else to your product it would be no different. This way the affiliate will be able to write a true and valid review of your product, which if the product is good then the vendor has nothing to worry about just more sales. What?!!! “More sales?!!!” Thats a nice problem to have.

CB still has not addressed the issue of protecting vendors from affiliates buying from their own aff links. For years I’ve been pleading but being conveniently ignored.
