ClickBank Video: Create a Customer-Facing Ad

We’ve just released a new “how to” video for ClickBank publishers, which shows how to create a customer-facing ad that will be used in our forthcoming ad platform and will soon be included in our XML feed. This video walks through the process of creating an ad step-by-step, and also includes information on our quality and content guidelines, plus some tips on writing effective ad copy. Check it out!

This video doesn’t answer the most important question which is….Where are these ads going to appear? On the Clickbank homepage? On publishers’ sites? On the Marketplace search results?

These ads are going to appear on our affiliates’ Web sites all around the world. Basically, our affiliates will be able to generate a block of advertisements featuring ClickBank products that they can easily display on their Web sites, blogs, forums, etc.
These ads will look similar to other text-based ads that people display on their sites. However, since these are for ClickBank products, instead of just earning a few pennies per click, affiliates can earn the same commissions on products as they would by creating Hoplinks for individual products listed in the Marketplace. This means that affiliates can make significantly more money by displaying our ads than through traditional display advertising!
One of the most exciting aspects of this new ad platform is that unlike traditional display advertising, our platform will be free to our product publishers. All they have to do is create an ad like I demonstrate in the video. While the platform is still in development, we expect to release it in early 2009, so any product publishers who want to be included in the first release should create their ad now! I hope that answers your question.
