Tips for Becoming an Affiliate Magnet: Part 5
Posted by: Ashley Adamson, ClickBank Senior Customer Service Representative
This is the final post in a five-part, five-day series about how publishers can attract more affiliates.
To really succeed as a ClickBank publisher, you need to get as many affiliates promoting your product as possible. In this five-part series, I show you some of the best techniques for becoming an affiliate magnet! Did you miss part one, two, three, or four?
Tip 5: Advertise
To further increase exposure of your product to affiliates, ClickBank provides a means by which you can purchase ad space within the ClickBank Marketplace, highlighting your product to hundreds of thousands of affiliates.
The Marketplace ads are three-line advertisements found on the right-hand side of Marketplace pages, under ‘Sponsored Links.’ You can see some current ads here:

The costs of Marketplace ads vary, depending upon how much traffic a particular page or category receives. More exposure means a higher priced advertisement.
All contracts are month-to-month, so clients may utilize the ad space as long as they wish without being locked into any long-term agreements. To check availability and add your name to a possible waiting list, visit https://www.clickbank.com/advertise.html. Select the location where you’d like to place an ad, fill out the form, and someone from ClickBank will contact you when a space becomes available.
Final Thoughts
Many publishers spend months, if not years, in product development. After so much arduous effort, why would you want to leave the success of your product to chance? No matter how great your product is, if you don’t do a good job of communicating that fact to the people who can help you promote it, it will never be as successful as it could be. So as you build the pitch page to sell your product, be sure that you work as hard on attracting affiliates as you do on attracting customers. By putting in the extra effort to make your product attractive to affiliates, you can become a serious affiliate magnet!
Good luck, and thank you for choosing ClickBank!

very good series on aquiring to become a successful affiliate, thank you. I enjoy all of the videos.
Thanks! Without reading these Clickbank blogs, I never would have thought of making my own affiliate tools site. Now I advertise that site all over the place, people really like it AND it makes me feel important! I’m a Clickbank vendor WITH a tools site! What could be better than that? I’m still making improvements to it, thanks for all the great tips!
Thanks for the series and advice, it was most useful
As an affiliate marketer, I feel very happy to promote companies who share my values and integrity. I was attracted to one particular company because of their policy of not maketing their affiliate program too obvious to potential customers sent to their site by their affiliates.
As I am new to both the paid survey market and the affilate market I decided to put both systems to the test – I used my own hoplink, created in clickbank, to purchase their product. I wanted to check out their product and test the commision system at the same time.
I expectd to see the commission arrive in my clickbank account within a few hours – or at most a day or so but it did not happen.
I have dozens of very hot prospects to send to a site willing to give me the commission that I deserve. Needless to say, I will be sending them to another company and not to the company I used. I have no problem with their product – but I do take issue when they screw their marketers in this way.
This is an information that will benefit both vendor and the affiliate.
Thank you for this generous insight.
Nice series.. I just finished my product and I’ve added the final touches to the affiliate page with some tools.
Thanks… Well, what can I say? Amazing… Really helpful information for me because I’m going to be a vendor. And really I was worried about this but after reading your tips now I’m fully confident to be an affiliate magnet. Thank you so much. Eagerly waiting for your next magical steps.
Thanks….great help1 As a vendor, don’t ask affiliates to provide “clerk and developer API Codes in order to receive payments as does “Turbo Profit Sniper” I have been waiting three month’s to get paid. They won’t even answer emails requesting explanations.
So be very careful to setup a very good way to provide support to your affiliates.
I’m new to affiliate marketing. You say to create banner ads for affiliates. How do I do that? Is there a place on ClickBank to create banner ads?
Gaylyn,
The advice in this article is for vendors, rather than affiliates. It’s recommending that vendors create banner ads that affiliates can use. If you’re an affiliate, I recommend checking out a vendor’s affiliates page to see if they have any banners available. Many vendors will have a link at the bottom of their Pitch Page that says “Affiliates.”
How do I make the websites that you see on those great looking selling sights, does clickbank have curtain sizes or applications I have to use or is the website just made and clickbank just up loads it? and do I then make banners and up load them as well how does it all work. I just don’t want to do my own thing and then get told it is all wrong so could you please help me.
