Welcome to the ClickBank Blog!
Posted by: Kristen M., Marketing Communications Manager
As part of our ongoing efforts to expand our communication with our clients, I am proud to announce the launch of the ClickBank Blog.
It is our hope that the ClickBank Blog will provide clients with meaningful information both about ClickBank specifically and about the larger marketplace. To that end, we will be featuring posts from numerous contributors within ClickBank about various topics.
To ensure the success of our blog, it is best to outline a few important points:
- It is our intention to blog at least twice a week.
- We want your feedback, but we also want this to be for everyone, so comments will be reviewed prior to posting. If you’re off the topic or being obscene, your comment probably won’t make the cut. We welcome disagreement, but we insist that comments be respectful to everyone participating.
- Requests for customer service assistance will not be addressed on this blog. Please visit: http://www.clickbank.com/customer_service.html
- We do not allow URLs in comments in order to avoid having the blog serve as a means of advertising for any one participant. So please don’t include them. If you do, your comment either won’t be posted or the URL will be edited out. (*Added 04-03-08)
We look forward to an open exchange of viewpoints and welcome your feedback. Be sure to check back early next week for a blog from ClickBank’s own CTO, Monty Sooter. In the meantime, leave a comment and let us know what you’d like to see covered in future blog postings.

Great idea,this will really help.

Well done ClickBank
I have been with you since 2001. One thing I have noticed, and I am not patronising you here, is that while all the other big names online make changes and seem not to care much for their customers, ClickBank has always been loyal, professional, totally up front, a real joy to work with. I applaud you on that.
Absolutely a good move taken by CB. This would be an excellent platform to be in touch with the affiliates and publishers.
Regards,
Cher
Hello, Clickbank!
I am glad this finally happened!
I am looking towards the posts and news in the blog!
Alex
I was truly excited that you guys put up the blog, but now that I am here… I feel much disappointment. In your defense, I see where this blog can help beginning affiliates and bravo for that. But for those of us who have been around the block a time or 2 had hoped this blog would come complete w/ a url reference and a “do follow” tag. This could have been very helpful to us faithful few! I only say “few” out of irony. There is bound to be a “few” thousand or more of us that could have used this little “boost” on your blog. We hope you make that change!
Ethan stated that Clickbank doesn’t do enough to fight charge backs and refunds.
I think that’s a customer shouldn’t have to fight to get a refund.
As an affiliate for a variety of products I see refunds every paycheck, it’s just part of doing business.
I really like the idea of a free and open exchange of information, ideas, and opportunities without profitering. Excellent for newbies of which I’m one!
A good addition.. but I’d prefer you work on the “customer service assistance” front.
I have been trying to contact you for around a week and a half now and still no response after sending several emails…
Good to see ClickBank is making huge steps forward!
Better gateway, Spanish and now the blog, all of them were needed!
Thanks for the great work!
Sascha
Congratulations on the new blog guys.Your support staff is excellent.Keep up the fantastic job and keep sending those paychecks
.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the great comments so far. I’m glad everyone is so excited! There are some really good ideas included on here for future posts, specifically about chargebacks, overall market trends, and payment options. I am definitely taking note!
We’ve had a few comments on us not allowing links in comments. This wasn’t an easy decision. The purpose of the ClickBank blog, however, is to disseminate information and hear back from our clients about that information. It’s not meant to be a means for clients to promote products (no matter how great those products are). So, for now I feel like we’ve made the right choice.
Keep the ideas coming!
Hi Congratulations Clickbank!!
This is a great idea and it will build a solid clickbank community.
Great stuff gang. Hope it brings the affiliate community together and increases understanding for everyone. Thanks for thinking of us and not being afraid to step out here! jtr
Thanks guys! This blog, if run properly, can be a great tool for every vendor and affiliate of ClickBank.
@Kristen M,
With all due respect, allowing “do follow” and a links field in the comment input area is not going to interfere with Clickbank “disseminating” information or communicating with clients about that information.
It really is a standard for blogging nowadays.
And the link isn’t necessarily for promotion, it could be an “exchange” for taking the time to comment on the blog here and adding value to the conversation.
I am not stating that I would stop adding to the conversation here just because of the link not being available…but the blogs I tend to frequent, comment on, and participate in discussions the most have those features available.
Some blogs even include something called “Comment Luv”, which automatically links to the most recent post of the blog commentor.
And those discussions actually get very productive as well.
Keep in mind that most people will not post feedback of the “constructive” variety like this…so Clickbank hopefully will reconsider this “no link” and “no follow” policy and enter fully into the social marketing arena.
It will only add value to the Clickbank blog, not detract from it.
yes this a must one
thanks
Congratulations ! I love your new blog , Keep up the good work
yeah, I just singed up today and its great that there’s a blog.
This blog is a nice idea – I have a question though,
are you going to have some categories so that we
could choose a conversation?

Great Move By Clickbank, You really have helped change my life as an affiliate. Guess What? I Fired My Boss August 2006, and guess what! I made over $15,000 in 2007. I Will use clickbank portal to achieve my Goal to become the Biggest Black Owned E-commerce Business in the world.
But Please Clickbank, help extend account opening to other countries Like Nigeria, there are really honest, trustworthy and determined Internet Marketers From Nigeria.

Well done, Clickbank!
Despite disallowing links on comments (with which I disagree), public exchange and commenting between network reps, merchants and affiliates is a truly welcome change.
Cheers,
Ros
I think a blog is a great idea. I am new to clickbank and am looking forward to hearing from some of the more experienced members. Thanks.
Great news, But you havn’t been updating it very well as stated you would.
Nice move from Clickbank. We welcome.
Always great to see… what you guys do to get to know your merchants better
I have neither a Publisher or Affiliate account (YET). I will soon. However I’m surprised that this blog is NEW.
This will be great thanks
I look forward to seeing how this develops and great to see that other affiliates are thinking along the same lines as me.
I would like to re-request a new feature for members area which I have been asking since 2006 and see others have been wanting this to.
Would it be possible to have ‘Email Alerts’ sent to us (affiliates) when a certain amount of sales have been reached.
If there was a dropdown box where we could chose 1/2/5/10/20/50/100/etc.
Another option would be to send an ‘Email Alert’ when a certain $ value had been reached.
This would help us to monitor our email campaigns, websites, promotions, etc in real time, so we know what works and what doesn’t and avoid having to log in every day with our fingers crossed hoping.
hi there,
If you want to improve communication with us, how about putting your phone number on the web-site? and answering your phone?
Just a thought
Kacper
Why does Clickbank, as a US company, collect EU VAT? It’s not required and it is weird, weird.
I would like you to ask us for ways to improve your service to us affiliates such as how to eliminate fraud such as fellow marketers using their link to buy products that they discovered via another’s affiliate link.
i think it is great would help if u can read about another’s comments should help for new commers like me to clickbank a bit daunting but i hold thumbs!!!
This blog is a great idea!
I will be checking oten to see if you post any advice on how to make lots of affiliate sales (big fat hint!)
Good Idea.
Hi there,
I gotta say that I’m very new to all of this marketing thing, new to the internet even. But what i’ve herd about blogging, is that it’s a vital part of making a sale in marketing. So……It sounds cherry clickbank.
Great to see.
Nice move ClickBank, however the customer service needs huge improving upon…
Still amazed to why there no telephone support, perhaps you can explain why, as the email support is not the best out there when it takes anything from 72 hours to a week for a reply.
Otherwise you folks have an awesome directory for everyone, just a pity about the customer service.
I am new to click but just wanted to add my 2cents. You guys are the best and for me who is new to this I believe that this blog will help us to even produce better results for all members.
Cheers
Michael
Great! I am very new to the marketing scene and to clickbank. I cant wait to see revenue. Was curious tho. Can we ask for helpful opinions on this Blog?
I just want other opinions to ensure I/m going about this the right way.
Its about time Clickbank had a blog – This is a great development. I look forward to hearing from you often.
Hope you reveal some juicy stats as well
I’d like to endorse Brad’s comment about how
long it takes to clear international cheques
(as we Aussies were taught to spell it),
but my request is for ClickBank to offer
PayPal as a payment alternative. It always
seems ironic to me that we promote and sell
online but then have to stand in line at the
bank to hand in a paper cheque. Payments
from my PayPal account are transferred into
my Australian bank within 4-5 days.
Thanks
Gary
One more thing. There is a $10 fee per foreign cheque
that we pay here. Or if your bank is being nice to
you, that’s $10 per foreign check-issuing bank.
Still, compare that to PayPal’s zero fees…
Cheers,
Gary
That’s a very good initiative from ClickBank. It would be a platform to faciliate fast communication between clickbank, its vendors and affiliates.
Hi again,
We’re getting several comments that indicate that readers aren’t clear about the purpose of the blog. The ClickBank Blog is not a forum. What that means is that readers can’t start topics of their own and ask questions of each other. (There are lots of good forums out there that are better suited for this task.)
The blog is more of a vehicle for ClickBank to disseminate information or discuss a point of view about specific topics and get our clients feedback about those topics.
In addition, to Joseph’s comment above, we are reconsidering allowing links that are relevant to the topic at hand to be included in comments. At this point, however, we are holding firm on no extraneous links to non-relevant pages.
Thanks!
This is a great move from clickbank

Hi
I hope CB also includes Pakistan because PAYPAL does not allow their service for Pakistan. Hope something can be done.
Thanks.
I welcome this blog as a means to communicate with all ClickBank affiliates and publishers but please improve your individual support.
I don’t understand how a company that generates tens of millions of dollars in revenue doesn’t have telephone support and can take up to a week to respond to simple email questions.
Hopefully this blog is a first step in improving your overall customer support so you can move to the next level.
ClickBank is a great website.
I only hope they can add a Food and Drink category.
Cheers,
Richard
It’s about time you guys came out of the 20th century.
You know I love ya.
I started to think for a moment that CB was run by a bunch of robots.
Great Job!
I like the look and feel of this blog and wish you much success.
All the best,
Paul
“The Mad Webmaster”
Great to be here,
Looking forward to much success in 08.
I am just getting started online(jan 08), and I just got my first check from CB.
Thanks for the service
Bryon
